It's official! Our These Days YouTube video has made it to the Cayman Islands! How, I have yet to fathom, but according to the YouTube statistics, it's hopped from the UK to Germany to the USA and to Cayman. I have to confess I didn't immediately know where in the world they were, but on discovering they're in the western Caribbean, I think we should include them on our world tour. Whenever that happens.
We were in the studio on Saturday--for two hours instead of the scheduled four after I was kept up most of the previous night by a dachshund with the runs and felt sledgehammered the next day. But it was long enough for us to put down This House and feel very happy with the result. Jamie McKivett (Jamie Mck) at Lyford Suite Studios is doing a fabulous job for us--he seems to have figured out the Bluebird sound very quickly, and it's a marvel watching him tweak things on the computer mixing desk. It happens every time--suddenly an amazing sound comes through the speakers and, simultaneously, Amanda and I turn and look at each other with 'Yes!!' on our faces.
Much excitement in the pipelines, but more of that as and when. Don't want to put the kibosh on anything... ;-) Now then, let's see what colour Amanda selects from the palette today...
